Austin, TX- The Concordia University Texas women's basketball team fell to American Southwest Conference (ASC) opponent, Louisiana College on Saturday afternoon at the H.O. West Fieldhouse. A late push by the Tornados wasn't enough for the tornados as they took the 68-50 loss. Concordia drops to 4-5 overall and 4-3 in the ASC while, Louisiana College improves to 7-4 and 3-4. 

Concordia couldn't recover from Louisiana College's 24-7 run to finalize the first half, giving them the 31-22 lead going into halftime. 

The Tornados were led by Kassandra Bills, Whitney Clancy and Kathy Ashley who all finished with 9 points. 

Louisiana College was led by Tillisha Givens who finished with 23 points and 22 rebounds. 

As a team, Concordia shot only 26% from the field and 33% from beyond the arc. Louisiana College out rebounded the Tornados 43-26. 

The Tornados will again be on the road as they travel to Brownwood, TX to take on Howard Payne University on Thurday January 15, 2009. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30pm.
