AUSTIN, Texas --
A three-goal first half performance by the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor was enough to down the Concordia University Texas women's soccer team 5-1 Thursday afternoon at the Town & Country Optimist Soccer Fields.

The Tornados (2-3-3, 1-3-1 ASC) received their lone goal off the foot of sophomore midfielder #Kiera Ruck#, who netted her fourth goal of the season in the 72nd minute of play.

Mary Hardin-Baylor (6-2-0, 5-0-0 ASC) stayed unbeaten in league play after scoring three goals in the first half and tacking on two more in the final 45 minutes.

Erin Sayler scored twice in the first half for the Lady Cru.  Sayler was also credited for an assist as Angel Kemmerer netted the Lady Cru's third goal of the match just before halftime.

UMHB's Mickie Arredondo also recorded two scores in the contest, netting goals in the 50th minute and 54th minute of play.

Mary Hardin-Baylor outshot the Tornados 26-10 overall.  Freshman goalkeeper #Amanda Benton# stopped nine shots for CTX.

The Tornados will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, October 3, as Howard Payne University visits Austin for a 3 p.m. ASC tilt.
