SHERMAN, Texas -- Three first-half goals helped Austin College to a 4-1 victory over the Concordia University Texas men's soccer team Tuesday afternoon.  Freshman forward #Taylor Granato# netted the lone goal for CTX (3-9-2) in the match.

Austin College (4-8-0) scored three minutes into the match as Sam Temple put the 'Roos up 1-0.

In the 11th minute, the 'Roos doubled their lead as Chris Melton scored with assists from Temple and Alex Dawson.  Melton's goal proved to be the game winner as CTX was able to only score once in the contest.

Jason Campbell put Austin College up 3-0 before halftime by scoring in the 31st minute.  Campbell's goal was assisted by Guillermo Allande.

CTX picked up their lone score as Granato scored his second goal of the season in the 53rd minute of play.  Granato's goal was assisted by junior midfielder #Mathew Waltz#.

Austin College added an insurance score in the 73rd minute as Shedrick Davis picked up a goal for the 'Roos.

The Tornados attempted 19 shots in the contest, including three by Granato.  Freshman midfielder #Sebastian Parra# led CTX with four shot attempts. 

CTX will return to action on Sat., Oct. 24 as they host the University of Texas-Tyler in a 3 p.m. ASC tilt at Town & Country Field.  Prior to Saturday's game, the Tornados will honor their six seniors, who will all be making their final home appearance.
