AUSTIN, TX- Concordia University Texas women's basketball program closed out their 2008-2009 season with a, 71-35 win over Sul Ross State University (1-23, 1-20 ASC) Saturday afternoon at the Fieldhouse. The Tornados (11-12, 11-10 ASC) came one game short of making it to the American Southwest Conference Tournament finishing, 11-12 overall and 11-10 in ASC action. 

On senior day, three Tornado's ended their career in double digits points. All time scorer Kassandra Bills finished with 14 points, three rebounds and two assists. Both senior Lori Lee Beck and Whitney Clancy ended their career with 18 points each. Clancy led all players with five assists. Senior Katie Shaffstall ended her career with three points and a team leading 11 rebounds. Senior tiffany Turner ended her career with 5 rebounds, one steal and one assists. 

The Tornados held a14 point led going into half with the score 29-15. 

The Tornados ended their season with a thrilling victory over Sul Ross, shooting 32.4 percent from the field. 

Sophomore Adriana Vega scored 7 points of 3-5 shooting and freshman Kathy Ashley added 6 points and sophomore Jenn Herman added 8 rebounds and four points.
