Richardson, Texas
– Robert Lopez and Benjamin Tijerina each netted second-half goals in leading Texas-Dallas to a 2-0 victory over the Concordia University Texas men's soccer team on Thursday, Oct. 20 at the UTD Soccer Complex.

Following a scoreless first half, the Comets got on the board shortly after the break when Robert Lopez collected a loose ball inside the box and shot it to the back of the net for an unassisted tally in the 48th minute. Texas-Dallas (11-1-2, ASC 9-1-1) added another marker in the 88th to put the match on ice courtesy of a Tijerina strike on a cross from Zach Hansen.

Concordia's Jacob Stern made three stops on 13 opportunities and suffered the loss. Steven Nicknish did not have to make a save on seven shot attempts by the Tornados to record the shutout win.

Concordia (5-7-1, ASC 5-4-1) will play a pivotal ASC match with potential playoff implications on the line at Ozarks on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m.
