Hilary Wagner broke a single-match school record by accumulating three assists in her final home match in leading the Concordia University Texas women's soccer team to a 4-0 Senior Day victory on Saturday, Oct. 29 at St. Stephen's. Wagner, who along with classmates Lauren Browning and Kiera Ruck was recognized during a brief ceremony prior to the match, also contributed on a back line which helped the Tornados match a program standard for shutouts in a single season with 10.

Concordia outshot Louisiana College, 43-3, and set the tone at the start by scoring its first goal in the seventh minute. Maire Cox received a pass from Axita Patel on the left side and crossed the ball inside the 18-yard box to Adrienne Ambrosy, who rocketed a shot to the upper 90 of the net to put the Tornados on the board.

In the second half, Wagner set up Kendall Williams twice in a span of 5:11 to break the match open. Williams netted her 11th and 12th goals of the season by taking a lob inside the box and a cross from the right side from Wagner to give the Tornados a 3-0 advantage in just the 54th minute of play. On the second marker, the freshman also set single-season school records for goals (12) and points (26).

Wagner, who was robbed of scoring her first goal of the season on a second-half hockey save by goalkeeper Emily Breaux from point-blank range, added her record-breaking third helper of the match when she set up Meagan Brown's first career goal in the 61st minute to seal the final outcome. The senior's three assists came in a span of 12:18.

Concordia's Olivia Jablinski got the start and the win by stopping the only shot she faced in over 60 minutes of action. She was relieved by Andria Rosales, who turned away both shots she faced to complete the clean sheet for the Tornados. Louisiana College's (2-17, ASC 2-11) Breaux went the distance and made 26 saves on 43 opportunities.

Concordia (13-5, ASC 10-3), which has set school records for overall and conference victories, will be the third seed in next week's American Southwest Conference Tournament and is slated to face sixth-seeded East Texas Baptist in the opening round. The brackets will be released on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m.
