Austin, TexasPreston Baker scored his first career goal and Kyle Duncan notched his first shutout to help lead the Concordia University Texas men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Ozarks in overtime on Friday, Oct. 12 at St. Stephen's.

Concordia, which had a commanding 29-5 shot advantage over the visitors, could not find the back of the net despite being in attack mode throughout regulation. The team's best opportunity came with 17 minutes left in the first half when Luc Nouck fed a dangerous ball into the box, but Nathan Tjon-Joe-Pin's hard shot bounced off the bottom of the crossbar and was cleared away.

The Tornados took every shot in the extra session and finally got on the board shortly after taking their 13th corner kick of the match. Chase Michalak collected the ball on the left side and sent a pass over to Baker, who sent a laser to the upper corner of the far right post from more than 20 yards out to give the hosts the sudden victory in 98th minute of their fifth overtime match this season.

Concordia's Duncan earned the shutout win by saving one of the six shots he faced. Matt Mouer of Ozarks (3-7-1, ASC 3-5) made six stops on 29 opportunities in the losing effort.

Concordia (3-8-1, ASC 2-5) will host Texas-Dallas tomorrow evening at 7 p.m.
