Kila Hartom made seven saves as the Concordia University Texas women's soccer team played Louisiana College to a 0-0 double-overtime tie on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Wildcat Field. The Tornados recorded their third straight shutout to remain in a position to qualify for the American Southwest Conference Tournament.
Concordia outshot the Wildcats 8-4 in the second stanza and nearly went up 1-0 with about five minutes left in regulation.
Jordan James fired the ball past goalkeeper Emily Breaux and into the net, but the goal was waived off due to a foul that occurred on the play. Nothing was decided in two overtime sessions, and the teams settled for the scoreless draw.
Kila Hartom made seven saves on 12 chances in net for Concordia, which has gone 283:31 without allowing a goal dating back to a 2-1 overtime win over Mary Hardin-Baylor. Breaux of Louisiana College (4-9-1, ASC 1-7-1) turned away 10 of the 17 shots she faced to record her fifth clean sheet of the year.
Concordia (8-3-3, ASC 6-1-2) will look to possibly qualify for the American Southwest Conference Tournament when it visits Mississippi College on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m.
