Women’s Soccer Drops Regular Season Finale to #3 Hardin-Simmons, 4-0, on Senior Day

Goalkeeper Olivia Jablinski made a career-high 13 saves on her Senior Day, but the Concordia University Texas women's soccer team fell to #3 Hardin-Simmons by a 4-0 score on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Town & Country. Jablinski and classmates Amanda Tarpley and Dalaine Whitlock were each recognized for their contributions to the program prior to the match.

Katie Kuykendall scored the first two goals of the match to put Hardin-Simmons (15-0-1, ASC 12-0) in control, finding the back of the net in the 12th and 27th minutes of action. Katie Haltiwanger made it 3-0 before halftime by heading in a cross that came from Julianne Kucera, and Kati McCarty closed out the scoring in the 56th minute by finishing a pass from Taylor Thigpen.

Jablinski set a career high for saves by turning away 13 shots on 27 opportunities for Concordia. Hardin-Simmons' Lexi Stinson and Abby Blunt combined for the shutout. Stinson made three saves and was credited with the victory.

Concordia (9-5-3, ASC 7-3-2) will now head to Abilene to compete at the American Southwest Conference Tournament for the third straight season. The league's postseason event, which features the top six teams, begins on Thursday, Nov. 1.
