Atlanta, Ga. – Maegan Leider finished 63rd individually to lead the Concordia University Texas women's cross country team to an 18th-place finish at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championships on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Nash Farm Battlefield. The Tornados posted their second-highest finish in program history at the postseason meet and accumulated 472 points.

Trinity ran away with the team title by finishing with 39 points and received an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships next weekend along with host Emory, which finished in the runner-up position. Mary Baldwin's Sophia Stone hit the tape first in 22:03.69 to take the individual title at the meet which featured NCAA Division III schools in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

Leider, who was named the American Southwest Conference Freshman of the Year two weeks ago, placed first on the team and 63rd in the field by navigating the 6,000-meter circuit in 24:51.83. Junior co-captains Megan Wagenaar and Caitlin Rowlette were 79th and 81st by hitting the tape with marks of 25:15.38 and 25:17.51, respectively. Freshmen Celeste Neff (130th, 26:55.84) and Haley Vanklompenburg (154th, 28:32.44) completed the Tornados' top five runners.

Concordia is slated to return all of its letterwinners, including four all-conference performers, next season.
