Jordan James found the back of the net twice to lead the Concordia University Texas women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over East Texas Baptist on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Town & Country. The Tornados, who have won four matches in a row, remained unbeaten in conference play.
James put the hosts on the board early when she finished a pass from
Alex Price in the opening third of the first half. She added another tally which was unassisted past the midway point of the first half.
Olivia Jablinski earned her first shutout of the year between the pipes for Concordia, making one save on nine opportunities. East Texas Baptist's (3-2-1, ASC 1-1-1) Sarah Collazo suffered the loss after failing to record a save and allowing two goals in the first half of play before being relieved by Christine Salas for the second frame.
Concordia (5-2, ASC 3-0) will host Austin College at Vandegrift High School's Monroe Stadium tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.
