Thomas Houlton contributed a goal and an assist, but the Concordia University Texas men's soccer team fell to Austin College by a 4-2 score on Sunday, Sept. 23 at Vandegrift High School's Monroe Stadium.

Daniel Graham of Austin College (5-1-2) broke a scoreless tie in the 18th minute by heading home a corner kick that was taken by Caleb Sherer. Despite outshooting the Roos by a count of 8-5, the Tornados trailed by a goal at halftime.

Led by the efforts of Caleb Walters, the Roos scored three more quick goals in a span of 18:41 to take a commanding lead in the second half. Walters added two of the tallies before Sherer potted in a rebound on an open net to make it 4-0 in the 65th minute.

Concordia, however, fought back and got on the board when Houlton found Call Cesarez on a free kick that came from the right sideline and just outside the box in the 76th minute. A penalty shot converted by Houlton trimmed the lead to a pair of goals, but that was as close as the Tornados would come the rest of the way.

Austin College's Andrew Cellio finished the match with eight saves on 20 chances to pick up the win. Concordia's Nick Martin suffered the loss after  making one save in 65 minutes of action.

Concordia (2-4-1) visits LeTourneau on Friday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m.
