ABILENE, Texas – The Concordia University Texas men's soccer team was unable to capitalize on the momentum of its first win and was shut out at Hardin-Simmons, 3-0, on Saturday at the HSU Soccer Complex.
The Tornados (1-6-1, 1-2-0 ASC) was held to only one shot attempt in the loss.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys (3-3-4, 1-0-3 ASC) picked up their first win in American Southwest Conference action after scoring twice in the opening period and once in the final frame.
Colyn Moore's 24th-minute goal stood up as the game-winner for Hardin-Simmons. Rowan Meyer scored twice (38th and 70th minutes) to clinch the contest.
Concordia Texas will return to action next Saturday, Oct. 12, when it travels to league foe East Texas Baptst.
