Concordia Texas to meet rival Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday afternoon

AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas women's basketball team will welcome American Southwest Conference (ASC) rival Mary Hardin-Baylor to Concordia Fieldhouse on Saturday. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m.

ABOUT CONCORDIA TEXAS
The Tornados enter Saturday's contest with a 4-2 overall record, including a 2-2 mark in ASC action. Concordia rolled to an 87-53 victory over Sul Ross State in their last outing. CTX averages 75.8 points per game and is limiting its opponents to only 63.7 per contest, which ranks second in the conference. The Tornados lead the league and rank sixth in the nation with 15.8 steals per game, and the squad sits in second in the circuit in turnover margin (+5.5).

ABOUT MARY HARDIN-BAYLOR
The Cru are 1-4 overall and 1-1 in league play. UMHB suffered an 81-66 setback to Howard Payne last Saturday. The Cru's lone victory this season is a 106-79 decision over Sul Ross State. Mary Hardin-Baylor is averaging 80 points and 47.4 rebounds per contest. The Cru also is shooting 42.7 percent from the floor, but only 26.3 percent from beyond the arc.

ABOUT THE SERIES
• Saturday's contest marks the 50th all-time meeting between the two teams in a series that started in 1982.

STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON
Senior Tyler Compton has emerged as the top scoring option for the Tornados this season. The 5-foot-4 guard ranks second in the ASC with 19.5 points per game, while only averaging 27.8 minutes per outing. Compton has scored double digits in all six games this season, including a career-high 30 in the 21-point win over Southwestern (Nov. 22). The Lafayette, La., product is shooting a team-best 56 percent (51-of-91) from the floor, and her 4.8 assists per game ranks third in the conference.

RETURN TO SENDER
Junior center Domonique Liddell ranks second in the league with 2.2 blocked shots per game. The 6-foot-2 post has swatted 13 shots this season, including a career-high five against Schreiner on Nov. 15. Liddell has amassed 67 blocked shots in her career with the Tornados, which is the most in the program's NCAA Division III era (since 1999).

STAT SHEET STUFFER
Senior Margaret Milling has been one who fills up multiple categories of the box score since her freshman year. For her career, the 5-foot-8 guard is averaging 6.2 points, 3.2 steals, 3 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game. This season, she is averaging 8.2 points, 4 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.2 assists per outing.

PROTECT THIS HOUSE
In the past three seasons, the Tornados own a 25-5 record on their home court at Concordia Fieldhouse. Concordia has logged a 3-1 record at home this season, 10-3 a year ago and 12-1 during the 2011-12 campaign.
