AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas women's soccer team will host Our Lady of the Lake in a non-conference match on Friday afternoon. The contest kicks off at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal School.

The Tornados (1-1-2) have tied their last two matches, including a 2-2 draw at Huston-Tillotson on Wednesday night in south Austin. Lena New and Chastity Carrillo each scored for CTX in the non-conference match, and Carrillo posted an assist on New's goal.

Concordia Texas is averaging 1.25 goals per game and is led by Alex Price's two scores. Carrillo, New and Jordan James have the other three goals for the Tornados.

The Saints (3-1-1) dropped their first match of the season in their last outing, a 1-0 decision at Incarnate Word last Sunday. Prior to the loss, Our Lady of the Lake (OLLU) netted a decisive 8-1 victory over Schreiner on Sept. 6.

Victoria Vazquez has accumulated a team-best 14 points (five goals/four assists) for the Saints and has garnered back-to-back Red River Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week awards.

Friday's contest is only the fourth meeting between the two schools with OLLU holding a 3-0 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to 2008. The Saints received a golden goal in the 104th minute from Vazquez to defeat Concordia in the last matchup, which was played on Sept. 7, 2012, in the Alamo City.
