AUSTIN, Texas – Rodrigo Neves scored the game-winning goal in the 90th minute to give Louisiana College a 2-1 victory over the Concordia University Texas men's soccer team in the American Southwest Conference (ASC) opener on Friday at St. Stephen's Episcopal School.

The Tornados (0-5-1, 0-1-0 ASC) trailed 1-0 in the second half until Matthew Butler muscled a ball past Wildcats goalkeeper Camereon Vauclin in the 66th minute to even up the contest. Butler, who was set up by a forward pass from Ray Obeña, is the first Concordia Texas player to find the back of the net this season.

Twenty-three minutes later, Louisiana College (4-5-0, 1-0-0 ASC) went back in front for good.

Fellipe Albuquerque had the ball outside the box on the near sideline and played it in front of the goal where Rodrigo Neves slid in and guided it inside the near post. Neves' goal came with just 50 seconds left in regulation.

The Wildcats scored their first goal in the 26th minute when Greg McDoom finished a through ball from Ruben Mendoza.

Louisiana College outshot the Tornados, 11-8, while each team logged three corner kicks.

Concordia will return to action at 4 p.m. on Saturday, when it hosts Mississippi College (4-3-0, 1-0-0 ASC) at St. Stephen's. The Choctaws topped Mary Hardin-Baylor, 1-0, in an overtime contest on Friday in Belton.
