Tornados to kick off four-game road trip on Thursday at Hardin-Simmons

AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas women's basketball team will begin a four-game road trip this week. The Tornados will open the road swing with a 5:30 p.m. contest at Hardin-Simmons on Thursday, followed by a 1 p.m. tilt at Texas-Dallas two days later.

ABOUT CONCORDIA TEXAS
• The Tornados (6-7, 4-6 ASC) have dropped three of their last four games.
• Concordia was edged by league-leading Texas-Tyler, 65-62, last Saturday at Concordia Fieldhouse.
• CTX currently sits in eighth place in the league standings.
• Concordia leads the ASC in field goal percentage defense (.352) and steals per game (14.3).
• The Tornados rank eighth in the conference in scoring average (69.2 ppg), third in scoring defense (64.1 ppg) and second in turnover margin (+5.46).
• Senior guard Tyler Compton ranks third in the league in scoring average (19.2 ppg), second in assists (4.4/game) and sixth in steals (2.2/game).
• Junior center Domonique Liddell sits in second in the circuit in blocked shots per game (2.1) and 11th in rebounds per contest (7.2).
• Senior guard Margaret Milling ranks second in the ASC in steals per game (2.9).

ABOUT HARDIN-SIMMONS
• The Cowgirls (5-7, 5-4) enter Thursday's matchup having lost two of their last three.
• Hardin-Simmons suffered a 55-53 setback at LeTourneau last Saturday.
• HSU ranks ninth in the league in scoring average (68.3 ppg), eighth in scoring defense (71.7 ppg) and third in blocked shots per game (4.3).
• Lauren Thomas is the team's leading scorer (9.6 ppg).
• Becca Chagnon leads the Cowgirls and sits in seventh in the ASC in rebounds per game (7.9).

HARDIN-SIMMONS SERIES NOTES
• Thursday marks the 31st meeting between the two teams with the Cowgirls holding a commanding 26-4 advantage in the all-time series.
