AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas women's basketball team will open a four-game home stand on Thursday against Mississippi College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Concordia Fieldhouse. The Tornados also will face Louisiana College at 1 p.m. Saturday.
ABOUT CONCORDIA TEXAS
• The Tornados (8-9, 6-8 ASC) have split their last six games, with the last four taking place on the road.
• Howard Payne rallied to overcome Concordia, 53-49, last Saturday in Brownwood.
• CTX currently is tied for sixth place in the league standings, alongside Hardin-Simmons. The top eight teams qualify for the league's postseason tournament.
• Concordia leads the ASC in field goal percentage defense (.350) and steals per game (13.4).
• The Tornados rank eighth in the conference in scoring average (67.3 ppg), third in scoring defense (63.5 ppg) and second in turnover margin (+5.06).
• Senior guard
Tyler Compton ranks second in the league in scoring average (18.0 ppg), third in assists (4.1 apg) and fifth in steals (2.4 spg).

Domonique Liddell stands in third in the circuit in blocked shots per game (1.8) and 16th in rebounds per contest (6.7).
• Senior guard
Margaret Milling ranks fourth in the ASC in steals per game (2.8). The Fort Worth, Texas, native has amassed 297 steals in her career, which is second in program history.
• Junior center
Voneshia Williams made her season debut last week for the Tornados. The 6-footer scored a combined 12 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked two shots in 13 minutes of action in the two games. The Alexandria, La., native averaged 5.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in 23 outings for Concordia last season.
ABOUT MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE
• The Lady Choctaws (7-9, 5-8 ASC) have lost four of their last five games.
• Mississippi College posted a 67-61 victory over LeTourneau last Saturday.
• The Lady Chotaws are ineligible for the ASC Tournament due to their impending move to Division II next season.
• Mississippi College ranks fifth in the league in scoring average (73.1 ppg) and eighth in scoring defense (72.0 ppg).
• MC also sits in second in the conference in assists (17.3 apg).
• Domonique Walker leads the ASC in rebounding (16.8 rpg) and ranks sixth in scoring (16.8 ppg).
MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE SERIES NOTES
• Thursday marks the 15th meeting between the two teams with the Lady Choctaws holding an 11-3 advantage.
• Concordia earned its first-ever win in Clinton, Miss., in the last matchup, a 74-54 decision on Dec. 2.
ABOUT LOUISIANA COLLEGE
• The Lady Wildcats (11-5, 9-4 ASC) are in fifth place in the league table, but are only two losses behind ASC-leading Texas-Tyler.
• Louisiana College picked up an 88-78 win over East Texas Baptist last Saturday at home.
• LC boasts the conference's top-scoring squad at 79.7 points per contest and leads the circuit in assists (17.8 apg), steals (13.4 spg) and turnover margin (+8.69).
• The squad also ranks second in the league in rebounding (46.9 rpg).
