Women's basketball to face Mary Hardin-Baylor on Tuesday

AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas women's basketball team will wrap up its three-game road trip on Tuesday with a rematch against American Southwest Conference (ASC) rival Mary Hardin-Baylor. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.

ABOUT CONCORDIA TEXAS
The Tornados (5-5, 3-4 ASC) have dropped three of their last four contests, and are 1-1 on their current road trip. Concordia Texas started the road swing with a 55-50 win at LeTourneau on Jan. 2, but dropped a 63-61 decision at East Texas Baptist two days later. The Tornados sit in seventh place in the league standings, one game behind the Cru and Hardin-Simmons. Concordia ranks sixth in the ASC with 71.1 points per game. CTX also boasts one of the conference's top defenses, as the Tornados lead the league in field goal percentage defense (.348) and steals per game (15.1).

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Senior guard Tyler Compton leads the Tornados and ranks second in the ASC with 19 points per contest.
• Compton also ranks third in the conference with 4.4 assists per outing.
• Senior guard Margaret Milling has amassed 30 steals and ranks second in the ASC with 3.0 thefts per game.
• Junior center Domonique Liddell sits fourth in the league with an average of 8.1 rebounds per game.
• Liddell, who is Concordia's all-time leading shot blocker with 78 career swats, also ranks second in the conference with 2.4 blocked shots per contest this season.
• Liddell has posted a pair of double-doubles this season. Her last double-double was a 15-point, 12-rebound performance against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Dec. 13, 2013.

ABOUT MARY HARDIN-BAYLOR
The Cru (4-6, 4-3 ASC) have won their last two games, both against league opponents. UMHB netted a 96-87 win at East Texas Baptist last Thursday and posted a 78-67 victory at LeTourneau two days later. Mary Hardin-Baylor boasts the conference's leading offensive attack at 81.5 points per game. However, the Cru give up an average of 80.8 points per outing, which ranks 11th in the ASC. Taylor Tucker leads the team in scoring at 18.9 points per contest. Tucker also is the team's top rebounder (9.3 rpg).

ABOUT THE SERIES
• Tuesday's contest marks the 51st all-time meeting between the two teams in a series that started in 1982.
• Mary Hardin-Baylor holds a 35-15 advantage in the series.
