NEW WESTMINSTER, British Columbia –
Nadine Fadelle and Isis Johnson scored in double figures and led the Concordia University Texas women's basketball team to a 65-53 victory against Douglas College in its first exhbition game on Tuesday night.

The Tornados trailed 37-32 in the second half, but ripped off an 11-0 run that allowed the team to take the lead for good.

Fadelle led Concordia Texas with 14 points off the bench. Johnson scored 12 points and added three rebounds.

Emily Cullers chipped in with nine points in 14 minutes of action.

"The game was a great test for us given the limited preparation we had," head coach Matt Wallis said. "I was very pleased with the way we adjusted as the game progressed. Nadine and Celeste (Laredo) combined to change the pace of the game and wore down their guards with their defensive pressure."

The Tornados will play their second exhibition contest on Wednesday night at Capilano University in Vancouver.
