AUSTIN, Texas – Margaret Milling capped a 13-4 run by scoring the final seven points, and the Concordia University Texas women's basketball team netted a come-from-behind 58-55 victory over Louisiana College on Saturday at Concordia Fieldhouse.
The Tornados (9-10, 7-9 ASC) trailed 51-45 with 7:03 left in the contest before starting their run.
Kia Love hit a pair of free throws to cut the deficit to four with 5:36 to play.
Ashlyn Ward then buried a 3-pointer following a steal by
Voneshia Williams to trim the Lady Wildcats' lead to just one.
After Louisiana College (11-7, 9-6 ASC) picked up a free throw, Concordia Texas received one from
Ashley Humbles with 4:05 left.
It was all Milling from there.
The Fort Worth, Texas, native knocked down a free throw to tie the game at 52-52, then she hit a layup to give the Tornados the lead for good. Milling added a jumper with 1:05 to play and hit a pair of shots from the charity stripe 15 seconds later to cap the scoring run.
The 5-foot-8 senior guard tied
Domonique Liddell for the team lead with 11 points. Milling also added eight steals, while Liddell pulled down seven rebounds.
Kaci Willis paced the Lady Wildcats with 18 points and nine boards, both game highs.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Concordia outrebounded Louisiana College on Saturday, 41-33, including a 22-16 edge on the offensive glass.

Margaret Milling scored seven of her 11 points in the final 3:45 of the contest. Her first four points came on layups in the first 1:58 of the game.
• Milling tied her season high with eight steals in the contest. She also collected eight steals against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Dec. 14.

Domonique Liddell led Concordia in rebounding for the seventh time this season.
