AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Lutheran scored 10 times in the fourth inning, and the Bulldogs cruised to an 11-3 victory over the Concordia University Texas baseball team on Wednesday night at Tornado Field.

The Bulldogs (4-0) sent 15 batters to the plate and produced 11 hits, including two for extra bases, in the deciding frame. Ryan Hill hammered a triple to the right-center gap that drove in three runs and gave Texas Lutheran a 4-2 lead. Keaton Bohrmann, Klaus Bohrmann and Tyler Carollo all registered a pair of hits in the big inning.

The Tornados (3-1) took a 2-0 advantage into the fourth before the Bulldogs' offense exploded.

Each team tacked on one more tally before playing three scoreless frames to close out the non-conference tilt.

Texas Lutheran racked up 18 hits on the night, only three of which went for extra bases. Carollo led the way with a 4-for-4 performance that included two RBIs, while Hill was 3-for-4 with four RBIs.

Conner Capdau (1-0) earned the win in the relief. The right-hander gave up a run on two hits and struck out two in two innings of work.

Meanwhile, Concordia managed eight base hits, all singles. Colton Poindexter was 3-for-4 and drove in a run, while Kyle Rodriguez added a trio of hits and scored twice.

The Tornados will have eight days off before hosting Ozarks in the American Southwest Conference opener on Friday, Feb. 21.
