AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas women's basketball team is in search of securing a playoff spot in the upcoming American Southwest Conference (ASC) Tournament, as the squad hosts Texas-Dallas and Hardin-Simmons in the final weekend of the regular season. The Tornados will face the Comets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and the Cowgirls at 1 p.m. two days later.
Concordia Texas (10-13, 8-12 ASC) is in a three-way tie with Hardin-Simmons (8-15, 8-12 ASC) and Ozarks for sixth place in the current league standings. However, LeTourneau trails the three teams by a half-game and East Texas Baptist is also is within contention for a berth. The top eight teams (with the exception Mississippi College, which is ineligible for the postseason) will qualify for next week's ASC Tournament, which will be hosted by Texas-Tyler.
Following Saturday's game with the Cowgirls, the Tornados will honor their two seniors –
