AUSTIN, Texas – Fresh off a three-game American Southwest Conference (ASC) sweep of Ozarks, the Concordia University Texas baseball team will continue league play this weekend with a three-game series at Louisiana College. The set opens at 6 p.m. on Friday at Bill Allgood Field and will conclude with a 12 p.m. doubleheader the following day.

D3baseball.com Top 25 poll, are one of three unbeaten teams in ASC action (LeTourneau and Mary Hardin-Baylor are the others). Concordia Texas ranks third in the conference with a .353 batting average and a 3.10 ERA. The Tornados posted a 0.38 ERA last weekend and outscored the Eagles 29-4.

Connor Bertsch and senior
Scott Weinschenk picked up ASC Hitter and Pitcher of the Week honors, respectively, for their performance versus Ozarks. Bertsch also earned
D3baseball.com Team of the Week laurels. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound first baseman leads the ASC with a .632 batting average and .720 on-base percentage.
The Wildcats (1-5, 0-3 ASC) have lost five consecutive contests since their season-opening win over Texas College on Feb. 8. Louisiana College was swept in a three-game conference series last weekend at LeTourneau. The Wildcats rank 12th in the league with a .201 batting average and seventh with a 4.95 ERA.
