AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas women's basketball team will wrap up its four-game home stand this weekend. The Tornados will host East Texas Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and LeTourneau at 1 p.m. two days later.

Concordia Texas (9-10, 7-9 ASC) is coming off a 58-55 victory over Louisiana College last Saturday. The Tornados are tied for sixth in the current league standings with Hardin-Simmons. The top eight teams advance to the American Southwest Conference Tournament.

Tyler Compton leads Concordia in scoring (17.1 ppg), while Domonique Liddell is the squad's top rebounder (6.4 rpg).

The Tigers (7-11, 5-10 ASC) are tied for the final playoff spot with LeTourneau. East Texas Baptist posted a 74-69 victory against Ozarks last Saturday. The Tigers are paced by a pair of scorers who average double figures – Jasmine Davis (12.9 ppg) and Amanda Rucker (11.2 ppg). Davis also leads the team in rebouding (7.6 rpg).

East Texas Baptist rallied to edge Concordia, 63-61, in their last meeting on Jan. 4, in Marshall. The Tigers overcame an 11-point deficit to knock off the Tornados. Davis scored 17 points to pace ETBU, while Celeste Laredo scored a game-high 22 points for CTX.

Meanwhile, the YellowJackets (7-11, 5-10 ASC) have dropped three consecutive contests, including a 72-56 setback to league-leading Texas-Tyler in their last outing. Ashley Fajardo averages 10.1 points per game, while Julencia Curtis is the team's leading rebounder (7.5 rpg).

The Tornados withstood a late charge by LeTourneau in the last meeting, and Concordia earned a 55-50 victory on Jan. 2, in Longview. Laredo again led the way for the Tornados with a game-high 15 points.
