AUSTIN, Texas – Tyler Compton scored 29 points, including 17 from the free-throw line, and lifted the Concordia University Texas women's basketball team to an 81-76 victory over LeTourneau in double overtime on Saturday afternoon at Concordia Fieldhouse.

Compton scored 10 points in the final overtime session to help the Tornados (10-11, 8-10 ASC) clinch the five-point win.

Concordia Texas forced overtime after rallying from a four-point deficit.

The YellowJackets (7-13, 5-12 ASC) held a 61-57 advantage with only 36 seconds remaining in regulation. However, Compton hit a layup and Kia Love knocked down a free throw to trim the LeTourneau lead to one. After the YellowJackets hit a shot from the charity stripe, Compton knocked down two of her own with 11 seconds to play to tie the game at 62-62.

LeTourneau's final possession ended when Julencia Curtis' jumper was blocked by Domonique Liddell just before time expired.

Concordia scored the first four points of the first overtime, but the YellowJackets were able to pull even after Ashley Fajardo hit a jumper with 18 seconds to play.

Compton was joined in double digits by Liddell, who scored 14 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds, and Love (12 points).

Alexis Wighaman (20 points/11 rebounds) and Rebecca Stewart (11 points/10 boards) each netted double-doubles for LeTourneau.

The Tornados will hit the road for a pair of games next week. Concordia will start the road trip at Texas-Tyler on Thursday, Feb. 13. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
