AUSTIN, Texas – The 29th-ranked Concordia University Texas baseball team split a doubleheader with Sul Ross State on Saturday at Tornado Field. The Tornados lost the opening contest, 4-2 in 11 innings, but rebounded to clinch the series with a 5-1 win in the nightcap.

The Lobos plated two run in the top of the 11th inning on a wild pitch and an error that evened the series.

In the finale, Concordia Texas used a three-run third inning to pull away for the four-run victory. Ragan Pope and Aaron Dunahoe combined to limit Sul Ross State to five hits and one run in the second contest.

Following the doubleheader, the Tornados honored their 11 seniors.

Concordia will return to action next weekend, when it travels to I-35 rival Mary Hardin-Baylor.
