SEGUIN, Texas – Jordan James scored in the 79th minute, and the Concordia University Texas women's soccer team collected a 1-0 victory over former American Southwest Conference foe Texas Lutheran on Monday afternoon at Gustafson Field.
James was the recipient of a low crossing pass by
Jordan Davis, which she put in the back of the net, past Bulldogs goalkeeper Devin Crump.
The Tornados (2-0) stay unbeaten on the young season after holding a 17-11 advantage in total shots.
Kila Hartom picked up the win in net after coming on in the second half and recording four saves.
Concordia Texas will return to Austin to open its home slate next weekend. The Tornados will host crosstown foe Huston-Tillotson on Sunday, Sept. 7. The non-conference tilt is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal School.
