AUSTIN, Texas –
For the first time in program history, the Concordia University Texas men's soccer team pushed it winning streak to three games following a 1-0 victory over Austin College on Sunday.

The Tornados (3-1) received a goal from Alejandro Labastida in the 75th minute on a penalty kick to clinch the contest. Labastida buried the shot for his first score of the season after Vicente Lizcano was taken down in the box.

Concordia Texas posted a 16-6 advantage in shot attempts. The Tornados put seven shots on target, while the 'Roos (0-3-1) never forced CTX goalkeeper Nick Martin to make any saves.

Concordia, which is on its longest unbeaten streak since 2009, will resume action on Friday, Sept. 12, when the squad hosts crosstown foe Huston-Tillotson. The non-conference tilt is slated to kick off at 7 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal School.
