BOX SCORE ABELINE, Texas -- The Concordia Texas men's soccer team triumphed over McMurry Friday afternoon by a 2-0 tally. The Tornados earned their 10th win, crossing into double-figure victories for the first time in program history.
It was also the third consecutive shutout dealt by
Nick Martin and the rest of the CTX defense. In the contest, The back line, led by
Marshal Tucker,
Eric Bigon and
Nash Cole held the War Hawks to just two total shots. Neither reached Martin.
Tucker also scored the eventual game winning goal, converting a penalty shot late in the first half. It was both his second goal on the year and his second successful penalty kick.
Carl Linn, who made his second start of the season, added a goal in the opening minutes of the second half. It was Linn's third goal of the season and his first since Sept. 4.
The Tornados continue their stay in Abeline tomorrow when they return to conference play at Hardin-Simmons.
