Men's Soccer's Impressive, Historic Run Ends with 2-1 Loss to UT Dallas

BOX SCORE TYLER, Texas -- Despite a 2-1 loss to UT Dallas  in the ASC Soccer Tournament semifinal, the Concordia Texas men's soccer team has much to be proud of after a highly successful 2015 campaign.

The Comets' Jordan Rubel found the back of the net 37 minutes into the contest putting his team ahead. The game would remain 1-0 UTD at the intermission. Danny Meyer added the eventual game winner with about 25 minutes left in the contest.

Fabian Billings spoiled UT Dallas' shutout bid, putting Concordia on the board with six minutes remaining in regulation.

Despite an aggressive attack, Comet keeper Joseph Weber and the UTD back line preserved the win.

In 2015, Concordia set records for wins, least losses, goals scored, goals scored average, shutouts, fewest goals against, fewest goals against average and appeared in the program's first-ever ASC Men's Soccer Tournament.

The all-tournament and all-conference teams will be announced over the course of the next several days.
