AUSTIN, Texas – Both the Concordia University Texas baseball and softball teams have been forced to shuffle their respective weekend series due to impending inclement weather.

The 17th-ranked Tornados baseball team was scheduled to travel to Marshall on Friday for an American Southwestern Conference series. However, forecasts have not only pushed the three-game set back one day, but also shifted the location to Austin. The two teams will open the series with a single game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Tornado Field. The set is then slated to close with a doubleheader the following day at 1 and 3:30 p.m.

Concordia Texas (15-4, 10-1 ASC) now has extended its current home stand to 16 games. The league-leading Tornados have five straight games and 11 of their last 12 overall.

Meanwhile, the CTX softball team has announced that its series at Howard Payne has been pushed back one day due to weather forecasts for rain in Brownwood. The Tornados and Lady Jackets will open the three-game set with a doubleheader at 2 and 4 p.m. on Sunday. The series is scheduled to close with a single game at 12 p.m. Monday.

Concordia (4-11, 4-7 ASC) has dropped five consecutive games, including a non-conference doubleheader at Texas Lutheran on Wednesday night.
