BOX SCORE BELTON, Texas -- Two late goals spelled trouble for the Concordia Texas women's soccer team Saturday against Hardin-Simmons as the Tornados fell 3-0 in a rare non-conference match against the Cowgirls.
The match was part of a tournament hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor.
The Cowgirls got on the board with 20 minutes elapsed in the first half on Kenne Kessler's goal after an HSU corner, but the score remained 1-0 at the break.
Megan Frontiera tallied six saves in between the pipes for the Tornados.
Hardin-Simmons added two goals late in the match from Kami Jones and Sarah Phillips to put the game away.
The Tornados will regroup and return to action Sept. 17 as they open conference play at Louisiana College.
