BELTON, Texas -- The Concordia Texas women's soccer team fell 3-0 at Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday night and is now 2-2 in conference play.

The Tornados struggled offensively in the first half as they only had three shots and one corner kick. The Cru took the lead in the 20th minute on a free kick goal by Brianna Hester over goalkeeper Shelby Franco's head to make it 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Concordia had a chance to tie it up, but Skylar Larkin's shot went wide of the goal. A Tornado foul in the box in the 40th minute gave Mary Hardin-Baylor a penalty kick chance and Allison Porter converted it, pushing the lead to 2-0, which they would take into halftime.

In the second half, Kila Hartom took over as goalkeeper for Concordia and had six saves in the half alone. In the 54th minute the Tornados tried to get one back on Kaycee Moore's shot, but she was just wide of the goal. The Cru  extended their lead to 3-0 in the 68th minute on Miranda Aleman's goal on a feed from Chelsea Graham. Larkin tried to salvage a goal in the 79th minute for Concordia, but goalkeeper Cassidi Musser was there for the save.

The Tornados return home next week when they face Hardin-Simmons on Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. on the campus of St. Stephen's Episcopal School.
