BOX SCORE AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's soccer team fell short 1-0 against LeTourneau on Saturday at St. Stephen's.
The Tornados honored senior Lindy Mendoza prior to kickoff.
The lone goal of the contest came in the 59th minute when the YellowJackets' Kennedy Keer tucked the ball in the near post past Kila Hartom.
The Tornados had ample chances to score, putting seven total shots on goal, including five in the second half.
CTX's best chance came with about 10 minutes left. Over a two minute sequence, the Tornados got off four total shots and forced two corner kicks. Unfortunately, the LeTourneau backline kept the 1-0 lead for the visitors.
Concordia hits the road for a Thursday night showdown at UT Tyler. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
