BOX SCORE AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's soccer team used two quick first half goals to earn a 4-0 win over McMurry Saturday evening at St. Stephen's.
The Tornados got on the board in the 16th minute, when Madi Timmons converted on a feed from Kaycee Moore. About 90 seconds later, Timmons returned the favor, feeding Moore for a goal to put the Tornados up 2-0.
Saray Mondragon-Olivarez found pay dirt for her first goal of the season in the 38th minute, converting on a feed from Skylar Larkin to make it 3-0 at the break. Maria Paula Vela rounded out the scoring with a tally early in the second half.
Concordia outshot McMurry 30-4 overall. A dozen Tornado shots found the target. Kila Hartom and Shelby Franco combined for the shutout.
CTX hits the road for an Oct. 15 showdown at Sul Ross State.
