RICHARDSON, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's soccer team edged Ozarks 3-0 Thursday afternoon to advance to the American Southwest Conference Men's Soccer Tournament semifinals for the second straight season.

Diego Outerial's penalty kick conversion in the 18th minute got the Tornados on the board and the team never looked back. Erick Villalba tallied his second goal of the season in the 39th minute off a deflection from a Comet defender, just moments after coming off the bench.

CTX ended the half with a 2-0 advantage.

Omar Aguirre added an insurance goal in the 87th minute on a feed from Isaiah Coombs.

Goalkeeper Rob Oakley earned his sixth win and fourth shutout by making six saves. As a team, the Tornados earned their 13th win, establishing a new program record. CTX also has nine clean sheets on the campaign.

Concordia moves on to take on the top-seeded Comets on Saturday. Kickoff is at 11 a.m. at the UTD Soccer Field.
