                    BOX SCORE AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's basketball team snapped its two-game skid with a commanding 76-45 win over Rust College Sunday afternoon at the CTX Fieldhouse.
Emily Cullers led the Tornados (6-2) with 17 points while Mercedes Ellison added 12 and Brenisha Payne chipped in 11 in a contest that saw every Concordia player score.
LeeAnn Stephens had a team-best six boards while Raven Cato paced the defense with five steals.
CTX's defense forced 26 Bearcat (0-8) turnovers in the game.
The Tornados used a 26-9 first quarter to establish the tone of the contest. CTX never let up and led 43-22 at the half. Concordia's largest lead of the afternoon came with just under a minute left in the fourth, when the Tornados held a 34-point advantage.
CTX remains home for a Saturday matchup against East Texas Baptist. Tip-off is at 1 p.m. with the men's game to follow.
