Jaela Dejean amassed 22 points and
Isis Johnson accounted for 12 as the tandem led the Tornado women's basketball squad to an 81-59 triumph over Hardin-Simmons Thursday night at Concordia Fieldhouse.
Kayla Strobel also tallied double-figures, ending the night with 11 points, all of which came oin the first half. As a team, Concordia Texas (13-11, 5-9 ASC) shot at 50 percent clip (30-of-60), including 10-of-24 from the 3-point line and 11-of-13 at the stripe.
The Tornados outpaced Hardin-Simmons (10-14, 6-7) wire-to-wire in the contest. CTX ended the first quarter with a 24-12 advantage. At the break, it was 45-22. Concordia's defense forced 20 Cowgirl turnovers, which the Tornados converted into 22 points.
Concordia concludes the regular season Saturday against McMurry at 1 p.m.
