BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 2

AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas baseball team celebrated senior day and the team was able to present assistant coach Clint Mokry and his wife, Haley, with over $20,000 that was raised for Maddie's Mission.

GAME ONE – CTX 5, LeTourneau 2

The Tornados scored one in the fifth and two in the bottom of the sixth.

Caleb Rodriguez's pinch-hit RBI single in the bottom of the fifth proved to be the game-winning hit for Concordia. Race Mellman's two-run single in the sixth added a pair of key insurance runs, propelling CTX to the 5-2 win.

The Tornados struck first with two runs in the second but the YellowJackets answered with two of their own after a costly Concordia error. It remained a 2-2 contest until Rodriguez's single in the fifth.

GAME TWO – LETU 7, CTX 6

Concordia made an epic comeback with three homers in the bottom of the ninth, but it came up just short in Saturday's finale.

LeTourneau's bats came alive for six runs in the top of the second, and that's all the YellowJackets would need to spoil the final regular-season home contest for the Tornados.

Brandon Applewhite's three-run double capped the scoring in that inning.

Caleb Maddox got Concordia on the board with an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth, but LeTourneau answered right back on Shane Sellers' RBI single in the top of the sixth ended up being the game-winning hit.

Cameron Rape, Michael Evan and Connor Bertsch all homered in that bottom of the ninth, each with their first long ball of the year. Rape's bomb was the first of his collegiate career.

The Tornados travel to Texas Lutheran on Tuesday for the nonconference finale, making up the contest originally scheduled for Apr. 12.
