SEGUIN, Texas –The Concordia Texas women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 tilt at Texas Lutheran Sunday afternoon. The Tornados launched some late, aggressive attacks, but they could not find the back of the net in the losing effort.

An early goal from TLU's (1-2-1) Katie Morton was all the Bulldogs needed as keeper Erin Rose made three saves.

The Tornados' (1-1-1) Madi Timmons and Kaitlyn Ellis both put two shots on target each, but were denied.  Ellis' second shot on goal was stopped by a host of Bulldog defenders. She put an attempt to tie the contest with eight seconds left, but it sailed wide of the goal.

CTX keeper Shelby Franco made three saves with none bigger than a pair of stops inside the final two minutes to help keep the Tornados in the game.

Concordia returns home to take on Belhaven Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen's.
