RICHARDSON, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss Thursday evening a strong UT Dallas squad.

The Tornados tallied 13 shots with four on target. Unfortunately for CTX, all four were stopped by Comet goalkeeper Monica Dallacasa.

UTD got on the board in the 16th minute on a Jessica Rusk goal off a corner kick. The Comets added another goal in the 34th minute, as Jadyn Wilson finished on a pass from a pair of midfielders. The final blow came in the opening moments of the second half.

Shelby Franco made seven saves against an aggressive attack. The Comets fired at a 50 percent clip with 20 shots with 10 on target.

The Tornados turned up the tempo in the second half, but could not find the back of the net.

Concordia resumes play on Saturday at Howard Payne. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
