AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Men's Tennis notched its second win of the season with a 9-0 decision over Central College on Thursday afternoon.
In the doubles competition, all three lines earned their first wins of the season. All three matches ended with an 8-4 advantage favoring the Tornados with
Zach Haynie and
Clayton Hernandez at line one.
Holt Fields and
Leo Marchesi played at line two and
Adrian Montes/
Victor Escalon won for CTX at line three.
In the singles matches, the Tornados won in straight sets in five of the six contests. At line two, Hernandez split the first two sets, winning 7-6 (7-2) and 3-6. In the pro set tiebreaker, Hernandez would take it 10-6 to complete the sweep.
Next up, CTX will host Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Monday, March 20 at Austin Tennis Center at 2 p.m.
