BOX SCORE ABILENE, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's tennis team concluded the final day of the American Southwest Conference Fall Tournament on Saturday, where the team performed well in the doubles matches.
In the doubles matches, the Tornados would have success as the duos of
Micah Austin,
Adam Compton and
Isaac Glynn,
Corbin Hayes would both win two matches on the day, winning the consolation side of the bracket of their draw.
Hoanh Le and Cameron Larue would win their first match 8-4, before falling in the "A" draw's consolation finals to Schreiner.
On the singles side, Le battled against Hardin-Simmons in the "A" Draw finals. After dropping the first set, Le would take the second set 6-4, but fell in the tiebreaker 10-5.
Adam Compton would win his lone match of the day 6-4, 6-4 to take third place in the "D" draw bracket. Glynn capped the day for CTX, winning the "H" draw's consolation finals over Sul Ross State, taking the match 6-2, 6-1.
Up next, the Tornados will close out the fall season when they will compete in the Intercollegiate Men's Regional in San Antonio, Texas, beginning on Sept. 28.
