ROME, Ga. – Concordia Texas men's tennis' Joshua Bode, playing in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Cup play-in match on Wednesday, defeated George Fox's Will Leach in straight sets to advance to the eight-player singles national tournament.

Bode, winner of the ITA Southwest Regional, took on Leach, winner of the ITA Northwest Regional, in a play-in match for a spot in the eight-person tournament for the ITA Cup title.

He would handle Leach easily in straight sets, winning 6-0, 6-2 to move on in the tournament for the ITA D-III singles title.

With the victory, Bode will now face two-seeded Chad LeDuff from the UC Santa Cruz on Thursday at 10 a.m. C.T. at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga with the winner moving on to the semifinals.
