ROME, Ga. – Joshua Bode of the Concordia Texas men's tennis team, faced off against two-seeded UC Santa Cruz's Chad Leduff in the quarterfinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Cup on Thursday, falling in straight sets.

Bode, who reached the eight-player tournament after winning the play-in match on Wednesday, took on ITA West Regional winner Leduff.

After an early morning rain delay, Bode would come up short to Leduff, losing in straight sets 6-0, 6-2.

Bode now moves to the consolation side of the bracket, where he will face Carnegie Mellon's Chaz Downing on Friday at 8 a.m. C.T. from the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga., with a spot in the consolation finals on the line.
