AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's tennis team picked up their second win of the year with a 9-0 sweep of Sul Ross State on Friday.
The Tornados went up 3-0 in the doubles matches, as
Micah Austin and
Hoanh Le took an 8-2 win at line one.
Clayton Hernandez and
Adam Compton did not allow a game in their 8-0 win at line two, while
Isaac Glynn and Victor Escalon won 8-1 at line three.
In the singles matches, CTX continued to dominate, not allowing a single set to the Lobos at any line. Austin wrapped up the final match of the day at line two, winning the first set 6-3, and winning the tiebreaker 7-1 in the second set to give the Tornados the 9-0 match win.
Concordia Texas will have a quick turnaround as they host Ozarks on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the UT Whitaker Courts as they go for their second straight win.
