The score remained 2-0 until the sixth when

In the bottom of the sixth, the Comets were able to tie the game on an error, a sacrifice fly and a single. The big blow came with the bases loaded when Dylan Palmer delivered a bases clearing double. UTD added two more in the inning to clinch the 8-3 victory.
Matthew Williams (3-3) was saddled with the loss despite going through the first 5.0 innings without allowing a baserunner.
Game two of the day was a low scoring affair throughout with both starting pitchers giving their team quality starts.
CTX got on the board first in the top half of the first when
Carson Cox singled to left center to bring home
Clarence Guidry III.
Cox, a junior from Cotulla, Texas, finished the doubleheader 4-for-7 with a run scored and an RBI.
The score remained 1-0 until the top half of the seventh when the Tornados were able to put a three-spot on the board thanks to an RBI single from
