RICHARDSON, Texas – For the second straight week, the American Southwest Conference named
Joshua Bode ASC Co-West Division Player of the Week, announced by the league Wednesday.
Bode earns his third ASC Player of the Week award this season and sixth over his career with his second straight weekly award.
He began the week with two wins over Mary Hardin-Baylor, teaming up with
Adrian Munguia for a dominant 8-1 win at line one doubles and later earning a 7-5, 6-3 straight-sets victory at line one singles. Bode's performance aided CTX on their way to an 8-1 win as a team.
Later in the week, Bode notched a 6-3, 1-6, 11-9 win over Division I opponent Rice at line one singles, marking his fifth straight singles victory.
Bode and the Tornados will be back in action Thursday at 9 a.m., going toe-to-toe with Hardin-Simmons in an important ASC showdown.
