BOX SCORE THOUSAND OAKS, CA. - Concordia Texas women's soccer sophomore forward Patricia Heckendorn netted her first goal of the season in a 3-1 defeat against California Lutheran. Second year goalkeepers Sheridan Habeeb and Lora Tresco posted three saves each at William Rolland Stadium on Labor Day.

Cal Lutheran took control early as they scored two goals in the first 10 minutes. Both defenses stiffened as action progressed in the first half, resulting in a 2-0 score heading into half time.

The Regals added insurance when they knocked in another goal for a 3-0 advantage in the 61st minute, but the Tornados cut into the deficit eight minutes later when Falynn Pyterek found a streaking Heckendorn who beat the keeper for the score. With a little over 20 minutes remaining, Cal Lutheran utilized ball control to limit the Tornados' offensive possessions en route to a win.

Concordia Texas will return home where they will host there first match of the season against Our Lady of the Lake on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 P.M.
