Cal Lutheran took control early as they scored two goals in the first 10 minutes. Both defenses stiffened as action progressed in the first half, resulting in a 2-0 score heading into half time.
The Regals added insurance when they knocked in another goal for a 3-0 advantage in the 61st minute, but the Tornados cut into the deficit eight minutes later when
Falynn Pyterek found a streaking Heckendorn who beat the keeper for the score. With a little over 20 minutes remaining, Cal Lutheran utilized ball control to limit the Tornados' offensive possessions en route to a win.
Concordia Texas will return home where they will host there first match of the season against Our Lady of the Lake on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 P.M.
